    Non S-line to DTM conversion

So after a recent 'not a fault accident' that led to a hole in my grille and front bumper I'm going to be upgrading my front end.

I looked into a s-line front end, but becuase the S-Line grille is so damn expensive, the DTM conversion with all the side vents and the use of the replica honeycomb grille works out slightly cheaper.

I was led to believe that the DTM/25th anniversary bumper is a direct fit to a non-sline a4 but the bumper tabs on the non-s have screws as seen here:

But the DTM does not have screws as seen here :

Can I use the screws from my current bumper, or will I need to purchase a new part, if so can some1 hit me with a part #

In addition, how does the DTM bumper look without the the million dollar lip ? I will be getting the lip but not right off the bat. It is noticeable without it ?

Can't wait to get this upgrade going, but its a shame to lose my fogs I run my fogs every time im in my car so they will b missed. But will be looking into retro fitting them soon enough. But boy that looks like a bitch of a mod.

    :)

You can use the ones from your bumper. However when you get the bumper from ECS I believe it comes with mounting tabs.
    Mine came with.
You'll use the nonsline headlight washers (if you have them) and the grill. I opted to ditch the smaller side grills on the DTM bumper and cut the out for an open scoop. Ps the sidemarkers...just order new ones its so much easier

I don't have the million dollar lip but still love the look.

Reuse your brackets and for the fogs, follow my DIY: indeed, a biatch
Without the lip, the bumper definitively looks like something is missing

    I followed the DIY
Things to note. Mounting the fogs to the grill. Fogs need to be high enough to clear the bumper pieces Depending on how you cut the grill to fit the frame this can play a factor. Make sure to use the adhesive in the DIY. other epoxies aren't going to work as well.

The side vents. I mean the smaller vent/scoops on the outside of the foglight vent/scoops. factory they are blocked off and you buy a grill to go I'm there. I cutout the block off out so more air to intercoolers. Look at my car and they all pass through. Look at viperbenz1's car, he doesn't have the grill in place and you can see the blockoff with mounting spot for the grill.

Your sidemarkers will fit but just remember they use mounting TAPE. You'll have to peel them off your original bumper and then clean the tape off and out new tape on. It's easier just to use new ones #becauselazy and easy

Odd question, but are you able to ask your insurance company for a bumper that didn't originally come with your car? Wouldn't they just get you a direct replacement?!

You receive a check from the insurance company. You can do whatever you want with the money.

Most people just pass the check to the body shop. If the repairs exceed the estimate, the body shop with will get supplemental money from the insurance carrier.
