Hello all! This is my first thread so whoop whoop. I'd like to say I've had my Avant for 5 days and the Audizine community has helped me with everything from heat shield ideas to the city lights mod.
I apologize if this answer is clearly posted somewhere but I didn't find anything on multiple searches.
Sooooooo, I had the bright idea of changing my tail lights and rear signals to LEDs. Looks incredible I might add. The only problem is, and it's not a huge problem as much as just a nuisance. The turn signals are great with no issues thus far. However, when I hold my brakes for more than about 3 seconds, not only will the Warning system say I have a Left Rear Parking Light out, a Right Rear Parking Light(which doesn't even come factory I found out once inside the housing)out, and both Left and Right Rear Lights out, but also my front corner markers with very subtly flash. It's the sort of spark that it makes when you start your car when the system checks all the lights, but just won't stop while the brakes are on. The Warnings and flashes start only after 3+ seconds of braking.
I'm familiar with the concept that the LEDs draw far less power than traditional lamps, but shouldn't the rear turn signals bug out, as well, if they were as problematic as the tail lights?
I ordered both sets of bulbs from http://autolumination.com/py24w.htm
Turn Signals(Super-Power Optical Led Canbus Bulbs $24.99ea)
Tail Lights(Super-Power 20Led Canbus Bulbs $16.99ea)
Don't ask why I got cheaper tail lights than signals. I don't even know. But I am wondering if it's simply the poorer quality lights that make the system bug out when the brakes are applied and the higher quality bulbs(like the turn signals) would fix the problem, or if it's just the way things are. Also, ALL front lights are stock as well if that makes a difference. Any and all Help, Comments, Ideas and Jeers are greatly Appreciated!
