Audi spun a balancing rod bearing

Hey guys, i recently had a low oil pressure light on my car, as well as it going into limp mode.

took it to Audi, they replaced a balancing shaft bearing, did a carbon cleaning, and replaced all four injectors.

ran about 4000$ CAD after tax, now my car is running like a top.

so if you have low oil pressure, be on the lookout for that bearing

yup... i was gonna dump it without fixing it, and i had a buyer lined up and everything. His money got tied up and wasnt able to access it so i decided to pony up for the repairs and continue to drive it...

to be honest i probably could have got away with just a 2000$ bill if i only replaced the spun bearing, but i figured while i was in there i may as well get everything done...

good news is the car does feel alot better, probably due to the carbon clean and new injectors

That's pathetic. For the $$$$$ spent on these cars stuff like this shouldn't happen; especially given your car being newer and only a 2010. Times like this make me embarrassed to rock the 4 rings.

yeah i wasnt very impressed. the car has 140,000KM on it (about 87,000 Miles) when this happend..

FWIW the job could have been done for significantly less if he didn't take it to the stealer.

actually i called around local shops, it wasnt that big of a difference. the parts were expensive..

the Audi dealer beat everyone on the carbon clean by about 300$ and they provided me with a loaner vehicle for the weekend while it was in the shop.

i could have saved money, but not a whole lot and the services that the dealer provided were worth it to me.
