    034 HFC Average Temp..!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Anyone with a 034 High flow cat, what are your average temp based on daily driving and highway..!

Local driving between 40-60mph i get anywhere between 600-630 Celsius.

Extended highway driving at 65-80mph constantly around 720-750 Celsius. Its seems to get hot pretty quick after 10-15 minutes of driving.

If you think about it thats pretty hot, and I'm kinda worried if this is normal, i never monitored my stock cat and i would like someone to post their reading with stock and 034 hfc.

Im stock no tune beside the 034 hfc.

    Much appreciated,

You sure that's not Fahrenheit? Pretty sure those temps would destroy the cat...

Modern cats are designed to maintain temps above 900°C. Those temps seem pretty normal.

So i was kinda right that vagcom does indeed read the temp in "C" as for Celsius..!, i just got the chance to hook up my vagcom to a 2.0t 0t passat with stock cat and the temp are pretty much the same.

I've watched my oem cat with torque and that's about what I get also. Maybe a bit hotter actually but my long term fuel trim also reads a bit rich.

The highest i seen is 800C under WOT going at 85mph on steep hill, but it will climb down as soon as I'm out of WOT.

Yeah, seen those temp for the first time definitely scared the out of me, I'm so used to my b5 v6 2.8 that the most I've seen is 500C driving at 95mph constantly pulling.
