So this one starts with a short story...
...About three weeks ago I picked up a new LED TV for my living room(Hooray!). 65" LG, worlds beyond the dinosaur I'd been using till then. I'm at the store paying for it and the attendant asks how I'll be transporting the TV home. "Oh, I'm taking it now" I said excitedly. "Okay, you have a truck"? he says. To which I say, "No, but it's big enough". He looks at me, looks at the box, looks at me again. "Okay..." He then proceeds to load the box onto a dolly and follow me out of the store. We walk out to the S4(sedan mind you) and he pretty much stops as soon as he realizes which car we're walking to... "I thought us said it was a big car? This won't fit in here"! I admit, as he said it I had my doubts too, but I told him the seats fold down and it should work.
Sure enough, seats come down and we load this huge box into the trunk. It just barely fit, and somehow looked like it was engineered in Germany for this sole purpose. We both just stared at it laughing for a solid 25 seconds. Then just as he was turning to walk away, as if to try to continue our 20 second laugh fest, he said something which just stuck with me... jokingly he blurted out "Sport Utility"! A simple play on words? Or maybe the true idea behind the S4? A sports car you can do it all with...
...my only regret was not taking a picture.
I told this story to a buddy of mine, a fellow B8 S4 owner, and he couldn't agree more. "I'm constantly blown away by how much I can fit in this car. I always think I'm being crazy, then it all just fits"!
So with all this in mind (and a tip of the hat to the "Camp Allroad" guys), I thought it would be fun to create a thread where we can post pictures of all the great examples of how we "Utilize" our cars. Towing, Bike Racks, U-hauling, snow plowing... whatever seems fun to share
Sadly, I haven't had my S4 long enough to have some good pictures, but I did "Utilize" my previous Mk1 TT as much as possible.
Now hopefully someone can post something right away so a TT isn't the only picture in a thread in the B6/B7 S4/RS4 section...
