Trying to Replace stereo. Any suggestions?

Hey,

I have an B6 Audi A4 3.0. I am trying to replace or put an overhead ipad or nexus and would want to create something like a media center. I would want to avoid the usual brands that you find because I cannot stand the interface. I think there is no better replacement to google maps and there is no better interface than apple.

Got any suggestions?

radio that supports carplay. Pioneer NEX platform will do that. Not sure what you mean by overhead ipad or nexus
