    Power Steering Fluid... ATF Fluid?

    My friend went to town to get me some power steering fluid she came back with Pentosin ATF 1 Automatic Transmission Fluid, people are saying that it will be fine, i did call the garage and they said no, but I'm confused? should i change it or?

    Use the correct fluid for the application. There is a reason for the differentiation between ATF and PS fluid.

    Pentosin CHF202 (I BELIEVE) is the correct one (or OEM)

    Yep. The CHF202 is specified for 2006 and up Audi/VW. CHF11S is specified for 1990 through 2005 Audi/VW applications. Both will work and both are compatible with each other.

    I agree 100000%

    That said. A bunch of people were running ATF in the B4 90 series back in the day and had no problems. B4 also called for mineral oil G002000 for PSF.

    play it safe, stick to the OEM stuff.
