im moving next month, and I also want to have it just incase. I have an airbag light on since I changed my seats.. I apparently need a passenger airbag bladder to remove it.. (900 at dealer, 200 installation) what?! I would rather find a seat and just do it myself. any ideas

Just put a resistor on and it will go off. Oem seats? Do they have airbags?

You need the genuine ross tech for the Hex-CAN B7's. I had the full version for my B6. But when I got the S4 no longer worked. Had to purchase the Ross-tech.

From what Drive Auto Works in Clifton said, I need the pressure plate/passenger airbag bladder. I found the bottom section of an A4 seat that I can take it out of for $100 and just do the work myself if anything. Yes, they have airbags. It's because I have a B7 and I put the blue Recaro B6 seats in. The airbag system is configured differently according to a few sites I researched from.

Ah ok. Well if you dont care about airbags in the seats just install resistors.

Kind of dont, but god forbid something happened. Just because that one isn't active, it disengages all the airbags in the whole car. Don't want anything to ever happen and risk that.

Hmm im pretty sure if you put resistor on the airbag it will disengage only that one airbag. Why it would do it to all of them?

Ahh i know what you mean now. Your seats are from b6 and you need that module to make it work. Im just thinking because when my new seats arrive they wont have air bags in them so ill have to put resistors on the plugs so air bag light doesnt come on. Basically what it does it tricks the computer to think that the airbag is still there and it works fine.
