Panoramic sunroof wires jammed & twisted

Hi guys, the panoramic sunroof on my B8 A4 Avant stuck yesterday when it was opening, it can not be operated since then and now half open.

I tried to figure out what the problem is and found that only one side of track worked, track on the other side is stuck so the sunroof doesn't work properly, and there is terrible ticking sound from the sunroof motor once i keep closing or opening by using the controller.

I therefore took off the sunroof motor and saw this:

Motor is fine, but only one wire was working, the other one was jammed and twisted, i've tried my best to push it back on track but nothing changed and it still twisted.

Could you guys please suggest how to fix it without take off the headliner and replace the whole frame? The dealer quoted me $1150 for the sunroof frame only.

try and find a part out, get a new frame because otherwise you can run into more issues un noticed. take a day off and take apart the pillars and headliner down and put it in. gives you a chance to clear everywhere while youre at it. easier to take seats out so you know, so that you can pull the frame out the trunk

I have been trying my luck to find a used sunroof frame but no good news so far, I don't really want to spend $1150 for the part only if possible.

I was wondering if I can cut the twisted wire then move it to the proper position so the sunroof can stay on close position permanently? but it seems a bit weird because the loose wire will cause the sunroof not sitting firm? Please advise
