Prestige with 6MT at Carmax

What do you guys think of this 2014 Prestige? Price and mileage look reasonable to me. But I think I'm getting hung up on the fact that this shows it has been in Vermont for 2 years. And something about that is bugging me. I'm looking to dive in here shortly and I just don't know how many low mileage Prestige models with a 6 speed manual will be coming to the market in the near future.

Seems like a pretty good deal, you can probably get this under 40k if u try especially since its not a CPO. It's very close to the 25K servicing mark, so see if the previous owner had Audi care and if that is transferrable to you else you're gonna have to pay for that or do it yourself.

Better buy it if it is what you want. They are disappearing quickly! I just picked up a 13' prestige with 26k miles.

What is the issue with VT, road salt? I probably wouldn't worry about it too much since corrosion is not usually an issue in modern cars.

Doesn't Carmax ship cars to locations all over the country, with no obligation to buy? Worth a look if that is the case.

You can get most of the Prestige features on a P+ car, minus adaptive headlights, I believe. I have a Prestige and the adaptive headlights are kind of cool, but they will not be a must-have option on my next car; I would not exclude well-equipped P+ cars from your search.

I don't know why VT would bug you. Especially since this car as the performance tires, there's no way the previous owner could drive in the winter on those tires.

Just my .02, I have a winter set of wheels/tires and I absolutely mash on my car in the snow. Zero rust here in Chicago.

This car in the link has A/S tires on it............... But who cares, it's a relatively new car with low miles so even if it did spend time in the snow belt I doubt you are going to find it rusted/oxidized from road salt. It would be another story if you were buying an older "collectable" car to insist it come from an area without road salt. That is a very fair price on that car with those options/miles...... go for it!!!

I appreciate everyone's feedback. yes I guess my fear of the northern road salt is a little irrational. I sent the VIN# to the Audi chat feature on Audi's web site, and she immediately emailed me the Monroney sticker (what awesome customer service, by the way) which confirmed this has the Sport Differential and the Nappa Leather. This is starting to get tempting. Just wish it weren't so close to Christmas....
