    Hello,

Just picked up a 2009 A6 3.0t as a daily driver. This is my first Audi, and so far I am very impressed with the car. Looking to do some immediate mods so if someone could point in the right direction where I can get those orange side markers replaced with some clear ones and the rubber intake boot that be great. I already have planned to get a dry AFE filter and those supercharged side emblems. Was thinking about an RS6 grill, but is it true I have to take off the bumper to swap it? Future mods down the road are some coilovers, 19" rotor wheels, Pulley and tune. Attached are some pics and any feedback is welcomed.

Looks beautiful! Take off the Audi plate in front if it don't bother you.

Congrats and nice find! There may well be a thread or two on here regarding the orange side markers, but this is a quick link: http://www.audiworld.com/forums/a6-s.../#post24037936.

If you were to get a new grille that fit, you would have to take the bumper off. It is very easy (at least on the B8 and seems almost identical on the C6) and took me about 5 minutes the last time I did it, and about 30 the first time (and I am probably close to the least handy person around!).

Good luck with all the mods and keep us posted...

I have the same model year and color as you. Check out my mod thread (link in signature) to see what I have done so you can visualize some of your mods.

As for the orange bumper lights, Go to ECS tuning and do a search for the A3 corner lights from the first gen A3. They are the same and will cost you less than $20

I would, but I've gotten way to many front plate tickets in my M3.

Thanks for the link. I found the side markers. Looks like most get this RS6 from an ebay seller I'm going to look into that.

I did take a look at your mod thread. Looks similar to the mods I'm looking to do. How does the spring and shock combo ride? Any reason why you didn't go coilovers for similar price?

I like the spring/shock/sway combo. It keeps the ride nice when cruising but the FSDs firm up in the corners. Closest thing to a dynamic suspension you can get.
I did not want to go with the coils as a set I would purchase is more expensive and I would not be adjusting it anyway. I take the Ron Popiel method to suspensions..."set it and forget it".

I'll probably go with a similar set up. Maybe Eibach springs with FSDs. I ordered the side markers, just purchased the afe filter and now looking into an intake boot. Any recommendations? I see 034 motorsports makes one for the SQ5 which has the same motor but I'm not sure if it fits.

Not sure what you mean by "Intake Boot".

That is what I thought you meant. There aren't any manufacturers that make complete intake kits for the C6A6. I run a Roc*Euro Intake from an S4. I had to scrap the heat shield in the kit as it was made to fit an S4 and I just ran the intake into the stock airbox (after I gutted it). This way it still keeps most of the heated engine air from getting sucked into the intake and retains the OEM cold air inlet from the front of the car. Not sure if I am getting performance increase, but it lets the whine of the supercharger come through.

I have the USP intake on my car and it didn't require any modifications to fit. Just another option in case you're interested!

Yea I agree with you. It's unfortunate there isn't a bigger market for parts for our cars, but lots of people on here have gotten creative and have been successful. Let us know what you end up going with!

Once dluxxx gets back to me on how he modified the intake boot I'll probably go with that and a dry AFE filter.

Best of luck man, he's been extremely helpful in the past with some exhaust questions I had (although I still haven't pulled the trigger)
