Keys locked inside trunk! Annoying feature

Hi guys,

I don't know it this's been discussed already but I didn't find searching. Sorry if yes.

So, I don't have the smart key. But I'm used to unlock the trunk lid using the remote control.
Well, I dropped my stuff inside the trunk and didn't notice that I dropped my key inside as well....
I closed the lid and boom! Key locked inside the car. Me locked in the parking lot.

This is serious but no dealer know how to reconfigure the car to open all doors remain unlocked until I decide to lock it back.

Anyone with some magic byte change to solve this?

not to be a smart a$$...call home or get a ride and get your spare key... or call Audi Roadside Assist
I would suggest you chill unless you live close by - you will get the issue resolved but it may take some time --- good luck

Having gone through this experience.

I say don't call Audi Roadside Assist. A locksmith could not unlock my A3 after I used RA, just ended up scratching the paint up my inner door panel and getting the door bent outward near the top (Had Audi fix all of that).


Call up a relative to get you home and get the spare key.



Audi really should have a remote unlock feature like Hyundai has with BlueLink even if the feature is for keyless only vehicles.

Last time I put the keys in the trunk of my audi, closed it, and the trunk automatically opened up again...
Haven't tried it again, but I thought it was very cool.
