Said Good bye to my S5 Cab tonight and Hello to my new RS5

Said Good Bye to my Gonzoe S5 cabrio tonight after 2 great years of driving, mods and more mods. We had a blast and really enjoyed my first convertible but it was time to let her go.
Arriving tonight (1day early), new to me 2013 RS5, Prism Silver and black with all options including, NAV, ceramic brake package, driver assist, sport exhaust and rear sun shade.
I'm really pumped for this next chapter. I'm dropping her off tomorrow for a new set of Winter Sport 3DS.
Thanks for all the info and help modding the cabriolet, now I'll be looking for some help with for the RS.

If you decide to keep her, my opinion in first mod even before ecodes and all that is a exhaust to your liking. Stock sports exhaust does not do any justice. It's actually disrespectful to that high revving NA V8.

When Chris and I ran a few times, we were about even until higher speeds where I started to pull away.
S5 felt great at launch because of the higher torque but RS5 felt better at speed....there's something about pushing an engine to 8000+ rpm. The scream of the engine is intoxicating.

Like your 2011 Cab (although yours was heavily modified which I was too chicken of a TD1 flag to do to mine) I had a 2010 Cab in Prisim Silver & have now upgraded to a 2013 RS5 Cab, Panther Black (also a CPO, so again I'll not try any mods for fear of the TD1 Flag). Picked it up w/9500 miles & now ~ 13500 since early June. I noticed a HUGE difference B/W the two but that is what I expected given the lack of mod's to my S5. Were you looking for a Cab in the RS5 & couldn't find one or were you done w/the drop top experience?

Thank you BK.. Not enough time in the seat for a great comparison but my initial thought is they feel very different. My S5 was Stage 2 with AWE intake and exhaust so it felt powerful and pulled well. The RS definitely feels powerful but isn't as linear. at 3k RPM though, it feels like a beast. 2 other noticeable differences is the steering and the DSG. The RS has Dynamic steering which feels much more connected and sharp compared to the S5.

I'll have a better idea in the next few days but initially what I noticed is a difference in the power delivery. Even with all the mods on the S5, the power went flat above 4k RPM. With the few miles I've accumulated so far in the RS, it comes alive above 3k RPM. The added bonus is the sound it makes.
So my cab was my first experience with a convertible. I think you're right about being done with the drop top (for now . Aside from the S vs RS comparison, the Pre-FL vs. FL interior and finish is night and day. The inside of the RS feels much more high end.

Didn't want to influence your response w/my impressions of the differences but it's almost identical to mine. I think in time you will come to appreciate the RS5 even more, esp. that LOVELY sound. Congratulations & you will not regret the move.

I've had the RS for 2 months now and I'm having no regrets. This is a great car.

Within 12 hours of taking delivery I had a new set of Dunlop Wintersport 3DS mounted in size 275/30/20 on the Stock rotors. This has been a great tire and have used it on the S5 and S6. Helps when this happens:

My next call was to @Mops to get me some spacers and some 034 goodies. The Transmission mount insert was a noticeable replacement in the S5, so why not.
10mm fr/8mm rear ECS spacers installed to bring the wheels out just a hair.

I was bummed out that I missed the original Eventuri group list for their new intake project, I love projects and experiments.

I can't tell you how many times I've priced Ecodes, almost convinced myself I need this and backed away. Lots of peer pressure here to lose the orange corners, lol.
This was only done so @bknewtype can no longer say, needs ecodes.

lol!!! Good stuff! Ecodes is one of those mods where u dont know the value of it until u actually have it. And once u have it, u can't go back! Car looks super good. Congrats on the pickup
