Forum newbie - Need help analyzing fault data

    Hello,

New to this forum: Would like to start off by saying there is a whole lot of great guys in this forum who are ready to help and I have had nothing but good experiences in the short time I have been here.

I own a 2005.5 B7 A4 with 145K miles on it. Have been having misfire issues - list of item i have changed in the past year to see if I could resolve this issue:
    1) Coolant Temp sensor (read in one of the forums that coolant leaks could lead to misfire)
    2) 4 coils and spark plugs (all oem - changed about 13,000 miles back)
    3) Intake valve cleaning (professionally done about 10,000 miles back)
    4) PCV (changed on saturday)

The misfire always happens during very cold start and during idle, once the car is up and running there is no real visible misfiring. During a cold start the RPM's do not rise up to 1300 and stay there for 30 secs like they normally do but go upto 1000 and drop down to 800-900 rpm with the whole car shaking and CEL flashing.

A forum member used his ross tech cable to help pull out the fault codes. I interchanged coil packs 1 &2 on sunday but did not reset the codes until today. The misfire doesnt seem to follow the coil pack though based on the info below. Any help would be much appreciated.

clear the codes and drive around again, i noticed my idle was rough when my cam follower was starting to crap out, also worth checking if you havent. You are way out side of the recall Mileage to play it loose.

What spark plugs are you using? Have you looked at them?

What plugs you using? You interchange the coil but did you try interchange the plugs? Did this misfire before or after intake valve cleaning?

I didnt try interchanging the plugs since I didnt have the spark plug socket. The misfire remained before and after the intake valve cleaning.

What do you mean "it was worn"? Did it have a hole through it?
