Wanting to get put some feelers out about my Avant. It's a 2001.5 B5 S4, Santorin Blue over Silk (light gray) leather. Twin turbo, Quattro all wheel drive. 130k miles. (And counting. It's my daily driver.) Almost completely stock except for:
- B6 steering wheel w/ paddles
- B6 rearview mirror w/ compass
- Stage 1 tune w/ EGT delete by Reisu Motorsports in Houston, Texas
- OEM 701N diverter valves & Mishimoto silicone TBB
- Solowerks coilovers
- Neuspeed rear sway bar
- Stoptech drilled/vented rotors & ceramic pads at all four corners
- 17" Celebration wheels (OEM wheels included as well)
- Upgraded torque converter from Reisu
The good:
No turbo whine
No burned out pixels on the dash
Mobil 1 full synthetic oil changes every 7k miles
New control arms at 120k
Valve cover gaskets done at 112k
4 new Continental ExtremeContact DW tires w/ less than 3k miles.
Timing belt at 80k (previous owner)
Best of all: full transferable warranty from Endurance until 211k miles. The warranty explicitly covers the turbos! Cost me $4500.
The bad:
Sunroof switch needs to be replaced. Opens fine but closes slowly.
One of the lower grille inserts popped out. I've replaced it, but haven't repainted it, so it's primer gray.
Cargo area interior light doesn't come on.
Fuel door is loose.
Xenon headlights, heated seats, Bose stereo. OEM Cargo cover and partition included.
Clean Texas title. No CEL's. Get the true unicorn: a worry-free B5 S4 Avant. Grenade the turbos? Warranty. Shift like a maniac and blow up the tranny? Warranty. Valve cover gaskets start leaking? Warranty.
