Can't get my damn wiper blades out

I can't find a single YouTube clip showing the proper way to remove the wiper blade from the adapter on the arm. Am I supposed to be depressing the buttons on each side? Cause I've tried that till my hands went numb. How do you do this?

Put a rag or something soft to protect windshield. Once you removed the old wiper and before put on new one, in case the arm springs back cracking windshield. Ask me how I know about it

They aren't really buttons. Try it on the new unseized one. The plastic thing slides away from the hole parallel to the blade. It's on rails of sorts.

I bathed it in WD40 and then the blade flew off the wiper arm so quick that it scratched my hood when it fell lol. It was almost rusted on there. Got it though.

Don't need to ask. I learned the same lesson. $415 for a new windshield.

I've had to put a screwdriver in that little gap and pry the black cap back.

Luckily for me, my insurance covers it (minus some deduction).
