1 of 2 fobs doesn't work. I tested it at O'Rielieys and it was good (battery/signal) but cant get it to program for the life of me. Any suggestions?

You may need VCDS to pair it to the car. My one FOB stopped working before, and VCDS was the only way I could get it to work again.

On the cars with the 'smarter' CCM-driven keyless entry (ie: MK4 Jetta, B6, etc), I find that adding a fob (the easy way) only works about half the time. I often end up doing the "clear" procedure in VCDS to reset and forget all the remotes and then add them all one by one. They just get fussy or something. The dumber B5/D2/etc "central locking" module seems much less fussy with adding remotes.

Can you please explain how you clear all fobs and re-add them?

Instructions for this procedure are on the Ross-Tech website, in the Ross-Tech Wiki.

Ross-Tech also has a great how-to video on YouTube for remote pairing.

No. Foxwell only does generic OBDII emissions related scan functions on our cars.

Went to go start my car this morning and now my one working key fob doesn't work, battery is pretty new. Tried taking it out and putting back in to no luck.

The closest Audi dealer is in the cities 2 1/2 hours away. There's a VW dealer close by.. Can they reprogram Audi key fobs? And what's it cost?

If it is just the remote function, then yes, the VW dealer should be able to take care of it. If it won't start the car, then probably not.

The VW DEALER in Duluth said they can't do it and I have to go down to Audi Of St.Paul. Which is a 2 1/2 hour drive each way. Am I all out of options?

VCDS is the software used for the Ross-Tech cable. Click The learning procedure Diagnosticator mentioned can also be found on that website.
