TSB for 2.0T Engine Oil Capacity

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I heard there is a TSB from Audi that changes engine oil capacity from 5 quarts to 4.8 quarts for the 2.0T motor?
If so can someone provide the TSB# or related link?

    Thanks StoicB7

I'm not sure about a TSB but Audi still lists A4s with BPG/BWT motors @ 4.5L/4.8qu in their capacity charts.

There is no TSB for the capacity, but the capacity is 4.8 quarts according to my Mitchell Shopkey system

Don't know if there is an internal Audi TSB for it, but yes, Audi mailed out all verified owners of our cars an "update" letter in like 2012 or 2013...

For Canadian owners at least, U.S I think so too. In my owners manual (from 2005/6) it says oil capacity is 4.5L or 4.6L but the "update" letter told us that is a mistake and it should be 4.4L for my car at least.

You can probably find a scan of that letter posted somewhere in this section in 2012 or 2013....Not a big difference and just use your dipstick anyway

I got a letter like that for my 2006 avant in like 2011 or something. If you're really worried a call to AoA can probably get you an answer. But from what I recall it was merely a correction to the oil capacity listed in the manual. It shouldn't affect the car functionally, so long as you read the dipstick after filling to make sure its a the correct level.
