    S4 Wheels on S6

Ordered a 2016 S6 that I am expecting delivery on in about two weeks. I currently have a 2013 S4 that I am getting rid of. Question is can I retrofit the stock 19" peelers (19 X 8.5, 43 offset, 8.5W) on the S6 to use as a winter setup?

I don't think they will fit. My aftermarket wheels that I had on my S4 that were 19x9.5 et40 didn't even come close to fitting. My understanding is there are very few 19" options out there that will clear. You should ask your dealer though. They will probably be able to answer that question for you.

I have 19" Hartmann rotor reps on mine. No issues.

I'm curious as well. I have snow tires on my 19" peelers from my old S4. I'd love to take the S6 to the snow this season.

AstleyJ: Was it because of the offset though? Because there is a difference between et40 and et43. Also my wheels are 19 x 8.5 I believe.

This is going to be my daily driver so I absolutely need to put on some winters. Would be great if I could just use my S4 setup.

Since you have the wheels already, your best bet is to just try fitting one in the front (if you can't get feedback from an S6 owner that is running your exact wheel fitment). Same center bore and bolt pattern, worst case is you'll need spacers to clear the front calipers.

ET 40 is more aggressive than ET43 (farther out, more brake clearance) AND perhaps more importantly, 9.5 inch wheels which is another 12.7 mm farther out (even more brake clearance) so a total of 15.7mm more and they still didnt fit according to AstleyJ. He is not talking about fender rub, because an S6 can go at least 9.5 ET35 without a problem.

That said, the offset and wheel size only tell part of the story. It is all about spoke design and available brake clearance on any given wheel. Stock S6 uses 20x8.5 ET45 no problem, but the spokes are designed to clear brakes.

People are focusing only on the wheel width and offset. The bigger issue is that most 19" wheels won't clear the calipers circumferentially. My stock wheels are 20x8.5 ET 45, so from that standpoint, an 8.5" wide wheel with a 43mm offset will work just fine, assuming spoke geometry is appropriate.

Definitely could be the reason. All I know is I tried to put them on and it wasn't even close. Haha.

Nicely done sir. The spokes on the wheel wouldn't clear the brake calipers. If I tried to lay the center flat, the spokes would rest on the brake caliper.

Looks like that wouldn't work then. I really like the peelers and thought they would look great on the S6 as well as make a really nice winter setup. The wheels have held up very wheel through several rough NYC winters and massive potholes too. Thanks for the input guys.
