    Fuel System Related Fault Code

When I bought my car back in February, My check engine light came on while idling in traffic. It went off on its own and came/went a few times after that. Went about 10k miles or so and now it's back, twice in the last 30 days or so.

Both times after getting my car washed and both instances since installing the Milltek non-res. I'm guessing the Milltek is a coincidence. Possible that the car wash dudes are opening the gas cap while the car is idling while, but I've been going to the same car wash for a while now and this has only recently popped up again. Anyone have any ideas? Problem with the gas cap?

This fault code is not related to the gas cap. While its possible that this may be correlated to the car wash I cannot think of anything that makes much sense. 310B faults most commonly occur due to low side fuel pressure issues with either the in tank pump or pressure sensor. With a fault frequency of 8 this issue will most likely continue until the cause is repaired.

Appreciate the detailed analysis chief! That's a far better explanation than I received from the dealer. Going to take it to another dealer I've been using recently and mention your comments.
