Can anyone share experiences, recommendations, brands and prices??
My car is parked in the garage during the day, but since I work nights, and living in Canada, I'd like to be able to start it before my shift end so I don't have to get into a freezing cold car to go home.
Can anyone shed some light for me?

I wouldn't recommend. Simply because your car is direct injection so leaving it to warm up isn't good for your engine, especially if you are going to run it for a long period of time until it actually "warms up". You'll see some problems in the future.

Thank you everyone for your input.
The reason why I want to get a remote starter, it's exactly to save me the time that it takes for the revs to drop on the initial start, I don't plan to have the vehicle running for an extended period of time, all I want is as I approach the car for it to be ready for me to get in and go.
I've seen videos, of plug-and-play systems that use the factory remote with a triple click option to get it started, but so far I haven't seen one for manual transmission vehicles, which sucks.
I guess I'm stuck starting it up and waiting for it.
