B8 A4 broken front bump stop? Need advice.

I just purchased a 2015 A4, absolutely love the car!

It developed a rattle in the front right side, jacked up the car to find what looks like a broken bump stop?

(excuse the dirt, it's a typical Canadian winter)

Car is still under warranty, but the dealer is extremely backed up and I can't get in for a couple weeks.

I do a lot of driving for work, think it's still safe to drive?

See if there is another dealer that you can go to or contact AoA and see if there is an authorized repair shop.

Leave it with the dealer and have them give you a loaner until it is fixed.

It looks like your shock is leaking oil too. You can drive on it. Just avoid big bumps and pot holes. You will bottom out, and hear a very unpleasant metal crashing sounds. That's not normal wear and tare btw. Somebody hit a massive pothole or a curb going very fast.

The orange piece with the wide slot appears to be a spacer used during shipping from the factory and should be removed during the PDI. I have heard of other situations where they were not removed. It looks like it has torn the shock bump stop apart and possibly damaged the strut.

Yeah about to say, thats one dirty looking 2015 A4. Oil all over that, call AoA, demand you get a loaner car, and that you feel unsafe driving yours for possible chassis damage.

If the shock has been damaged due to the shipping spacer, I would push to have both sides replaced to ensure consistent handling characteristics.
