From what I understand it tricks your ECU into thinking the temperature is colder, making the car generate more boost. The standard tune of this will get you up to 260hp, however you can adjust yourself how much or how little hp increase you want, just turn a dial on the unit itself. Also comes with a remote to turn the unit off or on.
