    Cold weather starts

Cold weather is causing problems with starting. Car also stalls even after a short run time. Excessive cranking necessary. New fuel pump and fuel filter. Engine has always had a vibration issue at low rpm's. Thought it might be where I was buying fuel but that doesn't seem to make any difference. Added Heet (Alcohol) with some relief. Vehicle stays outside at all times. Persistent/annoying problem.

    Any help appreciated

A place between here and there

Possibly crank position sensor on it's way out. It does stuff like this to your car on it's way out, with no dtc pointing towards it. Then it will basically give you a dtc for it right before it fully quits on you.

Does your ESP light come on when or before it stalls? Or while you are driving?
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch

I eventually found that the bolt holding the crank position sensor had come loose.
Next item to tackle is the ABS module. I'm going to attempt to open it up this weekend and re-solder the board. The problem is intermittent but annoying none the less. After that would be the rough idle at low RPM. I've been chasing that one for two years. Even pulled the engine and started from scratch and still a rough idle at 800 RPM and lower.
    Thank you for your help!

    Mike
