Number Plates

I want to buy some English aluminum pressed German style number plates.
I've read some people have been pulled for them and had points and fines.
What's the laws views on these and where is the best place to buy them if they're 100% legal?

Depends on the state/province. In Alberta, since we only have one plate at the back, you can display damn near anything in front. Otherwise, freinds of mine just have them on the lower corner of the windshield on the passenger side.
