Hit twice in 2 days

my poor avant, I just got new suspension and got her cleaned up so nice and now this. It started yesterday morning, I was in seattle for the day working and was leaving a coffee shop. I was parallel parked and I got in my car to pull out and a car stopped to let me pull out, so I pull out and WHAM! An idiot in a PT cruiser (I say idiot because only an idiot would drive a PT cruiser) drove around the stopped car and drove right into me. He's not admitting fault so our insurance companies get to hash it out. he got both doors on the driver side but atleast the damage is confined to the doors.

Then this evening same scenario, leaving a parallel parking spot, turn signal on, car waiting for me to pull out, i pull out and WHAM! tagged by a woman in a CRV. She knows it was her fault and feels awful, I can't help but laugh, telling her 2 times in 2 days. The driver front fender and lip is damaged. I get all her info and say I will let her know the damage before calling her insurance, thinking $500 to cover it. I go to drive all and the steering feels sloppy and the steering wheel is cocked 90 degrees while the car drives straight. Pull over, all the suspension and control arms look ok so I'm thinking tie rod? Limped it to a friends close by and left it. Leaving town tomorrow so I'll deal with it all next week. What an eventful 48 hours.

Damn man. Idiot drivers... Hopefully its not totaled out, but if it is, think of the positives and pick up something new.

That happened to me too. I got rear ended back in 2012 om nov 14 hit and run then got rear ended again on an highway off ramp 2days later. Crazy.

I have mini series dash cams mounted in the front and rear of each vehicle. They are single channel cams so they need to be wired separately and have their own memory cards otherwise they work great. I like them because they are very small and they are cheap. If you want a better, more robust dash cam look into BlackVue. They use super capacitors and Sony image sensors but cost significantly more $$$.

That commercial is such cheese. I don't know anything about that cam so you will need to read some reviews and watch actual youtube videos. Just by looking at it, that camera is to big in my opinion. The minis are great because they are....mini.

My friend has a similar accident happen to him when he was pulling out. Someone went around the stopped car and hit him. He was 100% not at fault. Drill that assclown of a PT cruiser driver to the wall.

PS front end damage will be far greater than 500. I would not walk away with just that.

Update: the woman that hit me the second time is now saying I hit her so I quickly filed a claim against her with her insurance so now I have 2 claims to figure out

That's why you can't really trust people, my dad got in accident with asshat who merged into him. At first he admitted fault, but when cops came he changed the story and said that my dad run into him. In the end, it went 50/50.
