Im sure we could say the same for many other products, its a fad that caught on and this is popular thing now. I do agree on some kits they could be put together a little better.

Molded would be the way I would go too, just makes the body lines that much cleaner.

Ok maybe it is the fad now, but why would you throw a kit onto a car like this and make it look like it only took ten minutes to create? Bolted on fender flares show no skill or workmanship. If it was blended into the body, maybe.

^ hah you obviously haven't seen any of their other kits on higher end cars

I feel like the bolted on scheme looks good and fine if it's solely a track car. Other than that it just looks kind of tacky to me.

You mean like the $23,000 kit for a huracan that looks like it is held on with liquid gasket? Or maybe you are refering to the $16,000 GT-R kit that I have seen in person and couldnt tell the difference between the quality of that and the cheap one on a civic. They still look to me like they only took a few minutes to create and look like a mail order kit that anyone could install. It takes time to make it look like the addition was there from the beginning, blending lines and contours of the body. When it comes to pure racing cars, they have a reason to have bolted together body panels. It allows for a quick change in the event of damage on the track. Also a company kinda loses points with me when they make a wide body kit for a prius.

Yep, they killed it all right. That car is now dead. It should be properly buried in a somber ceremony that remembers what it was really like.

Isn't this like the fourth thread in this forum alone regarding this body kit? Nevertheless, it still looks like shit in my opinion. I love the arguments of "well look how bad ass it is on a Lamborghini". Ummm, and your point is? Last I checked an A5/S5/RS5 isn't a Lamborghini. Hey, if one wants to rice out their car so be it but be prepared for:

when you drive it around town.

Hideous doesn't even begin...the whole riveted fenders look with incomplete flared panels exposing half of the tire makes me want to vomit.

In what way did they kill it except to hack up yet another nice car? Oh they put the exact same kit they have for every other car on yet another car? With the exception of the extra hump where the lower body line is, how is this kit any different than the kits they have for the huracan, gtr, 458 etc etc. it's all shit. If you've seen most of those cars in person you know how piss poor the fitment is and since everyone typically builds the cars in 2 weeks for sema, they all come out as hack jobs. This is complete shit.

Wait let me guess, you need to put a 14" square setup on your s5 so you can kill the game right? Because the ability to fit a 10.5 on stock body is just way too plain Jane and you need as much meet as possible to put all 330 hp to the ground?

I won't even dive into the shady business practices of most of the companies that actually put this stuff on their cars. Total shit. But hey, it'll get all the scene fame at the overfender nationals, aka SEMA, next year. And bonus points if the car that shows up with this garbage isn't running at the show. Seemed to be the awesome trend this year.
