    Hardwire Radar Detecto

Hello everyone, I am trying to hardwire my radar detector. I tried tapping the rearview mirror's power but unfortunately it wouldn't turn on the detector. It would turn on for a second then it would just turn off again and it repeats. I used a volt meter to check and there is 12V going to those wires. Has anyone encountered this issue before? Thanks

Just start by checking the connections you made. Sounds like there may be a bad connection.

I made sure those connections were snug and I matched the positive with the red wire and negative with the black wire. There were also a brown and blue wire but I think those are just signal wires as it doesn't give out any power

I forget if I went into red or brown, but if red is giving you trouble, check if any of the others are supplying power and try those.

Thanks for the help everyone! I was wondering if anyone know the specific part number for the Blendmount radar mount since there are different mirror types on their website?
