in opposite of the F125? still wrenching through the tip to remove it, but will be installing the 01E soon

on a side note, is there ANY reason for me to keep the TCM since I'm converting to a manual? I kinda want to rid the car of as many reminders it was a tip as I can

You don't need the TCM unit once you convert your car from Tiptronic to 6-speed. Just remove the unit and you should be good to go.

okay thanks.. any idea on the plug-in location for the mini harness from advanced automotion? I know the 10 pin plugs into the F125. not exactly sure where the other goes.

you dont need the harness if you dont mind doing some wiring work... the harness is just convenient for those that want a plug and play solution, but you still have to do wiring on the inside for the pedals anyways. follow these steps: http://s4wiki.com/wiki/Tip_To_6spd_Conversion

I already bought the harness.. set to arrive on Wednesday. I wanted a clean install so OEM plugs sounded nice. I'm using that guide for the other two connections needed. any idea on where to plug the other end of the harness opposite the F125? I emailed Scott at advanced since they're the ones that sold it to me. nothing back yet

I asked scott for help recently but instead of helping he just told me to buy the harness without any other assistance. I did a little more digging... one harness plugs onto the reverse switch on the trans, one goes into the f125 switch. both are 2-3 dollar common plugs and 2 wires you could have sourced and made yourself, no magic to it. To me, not worth the $75.
I understand he's busy, but def not the type of response I expected from him especially since I've spent $900 with him buying a trans rebuild kit. It is what it is.

-edit- if your f125 plug is round, the harness you bought wont even work.

I was close to buying the entire swap kit from him, but ran into one a bit cheaper rebuilt with a warranty. comprehensive too, guess it worked out all the way around.

the plug that goes into the valve body is the round one on mine. the other cable that his harness plugs into sounds like it's the one that goes to F125. just no damn idea where that would go some I'm removing the TCM and there aren't other trans plugs on the harness I'm aware of.

you have more electrical skillz than me I'm sure. not that I couldn't I guess, just still tearing my motor down for the stage 3 crap
