Aux input jack in 2015 S4 Premium Plus w B&O

As far as I know, there is no AUX input in B8.5 without Nav. While browsing through some docs today, I noticed something interesting in the 2015 B8.5 Audi specs sheet... first thing on page 10 of the doc under Infotainment, listed as standard in A4 and S4:

Audi concert system w/ 1CD player (MP3 capable), AM/FM
radio, Auxiliary input jack, SD card slot for MP3 files
&speed-dependent volume control

So where is that Auxiliary input jack???

Glovebox. It's called AMI

Bluetooth streaming, or input jack inside the glovebox. Standard Aux jacks are no longer vital for playing media.

remove the Ipod adapter in the glove box and add this or get tunedair or whatever its called and stream via bluetooth

The 2015 can stream via Bluetooth anyway, I think. I'm not sure if you need Nav or not, but I know with it it works great (I do it all the time). Beyond that, it's the AMI cable that was listed above.

Guys, I believe you have a misunderstanding here... I see you think that AMI (Audi music interface) is same thing as Auxiliary input jack. Well... if you'd look inside that doc, both, the AMI and the AUX jack are being listed as standard for 2015 B8.5.



PS. Uness you have Nav, you can't stream audio through Bluetooth (also listed in the doc).

Well then the document is wrong. There's absolutely no auxiliary jack. It also doesn't mention a DVD player (the MMI is one) and it mentions an 'MMI radio plus system for controlling...' with a 6.5" color screen. I think it's just garbage.

the Aux Jack Input is what the iPod connection is currently plugged into... if you want to use the Aux Jack Input with a Headphone 3.5 mm plug you have to purchase the other connector for the Aux Jack Input ...

Ah, yeah, that makes sense... The assumption is that the Auxiliary input jack would be 3.5mm audio jack, but in fact, it can be any jack.

OK, so I purchased this AMI to 3.5mm audio jack. I plug that thing in, connect my Android phone to it, and nothing happens. The display shows "No media" for USB, and no Aux or anything comes up. So pretty much, the car does not react anyhow on that connection. Is it a faulty cable? or I overlooked something somewhere?

I also have a AMI to micro USB cable, which connects a 320Gb HDD with MP3s on it, and it works perfectly fine.
