is there not a headlight bulb retaining clip on halogen lights?

I noticed one of my lights not as bright as the other and when I went to check, one headlight doesn't have the retaining clip.

even though I'm getting e codes in a few weeks, I'd rather have the bulb secure for the time being.

went on gap and can't find the part number for the clip on halogen lights.

as far as I know, I have halogen headlights (even though I installed a 4300k hid kit)

question is, would it be the same part?

No it won't be the same part. The halogen bulb and oem xenon bulb (d1s) are very different in shape. I don't have halogens but I bet you just pop the bulb in and give it a 1/4 turn.

There shouldn't be, I've never seen a halogen bulb with a clip. Normally they just lock in with a 1/4 turn.

For the low beam? My B6 has a little paperclip like thing that pushes the bulb into the socket and my B5 had the same one. Don't try twisting it. It sets into a little grove in the back of the reflector. It looks like this http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225...yoWNxV3idA.jpg

I knew I wasn't crazy. I haven't had a chance to pop the hood. been getting record rain here in Miami for the last week. do you have the ad for that clip?
