Like most other car stuff, throw enough money at it, and it can be done. Not worth it IMO though.

Well there's a totaled out 2010 at the salvage yard near my house the front is total but the rest of the car is straight.I can get a good deal on the trunk lid the lights and the bumper I was wondering could I put them on. It seems like a working theory but I'm trying to figure out how to get the lights working on the trunk lid.

So if you are looking to face lift the rear of the your car to match that of the 09-11 MY, you are not talking about the C7; C7 is 2012 to current. It is still the C6 body (we call it C6.5). It can be done; you would need to replace the rear bumper, the tailights and the trunk lid. There is a forum member here that did it on an S6 I believe. It is pretty much a straight swap and some coding to get the tail lights working.

You would need the modules as well for the brake lights I think. Or the proper electronics knowledge to trick the computer to read the values from the newer lights and make it think they are the older style lights. Otherwise you'll get a lamp failure warning light.

At the very least you'll need rear bumper, trunk, and tail lights. And possibly some electronics, hopefully the rear fenders don't need a swap. You're better off just buying a c6.5, on the plus side the 3.0t is lighter and faster than the 4.2.

You won't ever get the deep grumble of the 4.2, but you can get a nice clean "exotic" sounding exhaust note with some modifications. I would start with removing the center resonators and adding an "X" pipe. See how that sounds to you. If you want more, then delete the mufflers and add resonated tips.
