Heard back from my dealer and I need the following and wondered if I am getting hosed:

Intake manifold flaps motor - $1,100 + tax
    New spark plugs - $260 + tax
Emission system leak detection pump - $535 + tax

    OUCH!!!!

I am located in southeastern CT. If anyone knows of a very good Audi shop in the area I could use instead of the dealer, I would GREATLY APPRECIATE it!

    Thank you for your help.

DIY, you can get an entire intake for about $250. Check out www.automotix.com for the parts. They warranty it for a year as well I believe. Spark plugs are cheap and easy to do as well. What's that pump? Never heard of it. Plenty of South-Eastern CT guys on @goreckless @project quattro @booost. Hell depending on when you want to do the work if Project Quattro is around he does impromptu meets and install parties.

$260 for spark plugs?! I'd ask for a few lobster dinners first. You can buy plugs for $26 and change them out yourself in less than 20 minutes.

I had intake done at an indy shop for under $400 installed. Don't get these done at dealership. The regional subs will be able to direct you to a decent shop.

    Holy mosas lol.

All that can be done for about $400 in a couple hours if you did some light reading in the DIY section, and had a basic metric socket set.
