    2002 audi a 4 tuned?

I bought a 2002 Audi a 4 IT has some upgrades like Borla exhaust, test pipe, after market intercooler, cold air intake. The person I bought it from doesn't know the history of the car so they don't if the ECU has been tuned. The question I have is, is there any way to find out if the ECU was tuned or chipped and who did it.

A place between here and there

You can open up the ecu weather box and see if possibly the tuner stamped the ecu in any way (ie marker or sticker).

If you place on a boost gauge, you can then see if it is tuned or not. Stock boost is 11psi for that year and model. You can also log your boost values with more sophisticated software like VCDS. You log your requested and actual boost. What the ecu requests will tell you if you are tuned or not (ie more than 11psi, with atmpspheric pressure taken in to accountability when converting from mbar).
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch

Thanks Seerlah when I get the head back on and running I will log my boost pressures with my vcds and there is a boost gauge installed as well. I will take the cover off of the ECU and hope that there is some kind of label. I was wondering do the tuner companies keep track of the VIN # of the cars they tune. Thanks again Seerlah
