Turbo Options that will require no further upgrade?A4 B7

Hello everyone,

I was just wondering what were the best turbo options to get for a B7 A4 Quattro that will require no upgrade to anything else rather than just the turbo itself. IF any other parts will need to be upgraded, which one will require the least upgrades? all within a budget of US $1,500---that should make it interesting

Within $1,500? Pretty much the stock K03 is the only one that falls in that range...

Any other turbo is going to, at minimum, require tuning. And will cost more than $1,500.

Yes, that is a stock replacement turbo. It would be more cost effective to rebuild your current turbo or to buy a used turbo if you are just looking for a replacement.

Send out your old turbo cartridge to get re-

for about $375.00 to a place like http://timsturbos.com/ and save yourself alot of dough. Or use that $$$ that u saved towards a tune and be real

Or, buy a used turbo from someone with one for sale (like me

) for $100 and send it to tims to rebuild it- no downtime

You can send your k03 in to gpopshop.com and get it upgraded to a k04 wheel for about $500 I think. Then get a custom tune for about $1,000.

And you'll want at least an hfc to go with that turbo upgrade. And a tuner you trust not to give you bent rods.

I didn't know it was possible to replace the fan. I guess I can just do a rebuild. Don't need it for racing. Just needed to be at the optimal level. Right now car lags power and I was told I needed a new turbo so I guess rebuild is the way to go but only issue is that I'll be without a car for a while smh

The place I mentioned has a turn around time of 2 days back to your door after he receives it from you. The

er you ship it to him the faster you get it back
