    lambo vs. Audi maintenance costs

so I found this video posted on Facebook talking about how it costs $1.50 per mile in maintenance to own a gallardo. Of course he's only using oem parts and getting the dealer to do all the work so gee whiz it's costing so much. I think if I was taking my b5 s4 into the dealer for everything I probably wouldn't be far off that number, just last week I found my throttle body was hooped, that would have probably been a $1500 bill at Audi.

What do you guys think, real or BS, and how much would you say the Audi costs you per mile or km?

This. The Gallardo/R8 actually isn't too much to maintain.

As far his costs, the clutch is a big cost on any performance car for the most part- particularly if you're paying for labor. It's not significantly different on even a new S4 versus a Gallardo or R8. Same with tires, although I don't think most are wearing through PSS in 7-10k either, but I guess it depends if the car is only used for special occasions/spirited driving versus more normal usage.

E-Gear failure is a one time thing and I wouldn't really factor that into the ongoing costs.

Servicing a high end exotic isn't much more then a run of the mill euro car. Only time the bill really skyrockets is when parts break and you pay the "exotic tax". For example: bosch 3 bar map sensors for McLaren 12c will run you $300 at the dealer (just for the two parts) but through Chevy (identical bosch part numbers) they'll run you $50 haha
