Correct part no. is N10526302. Audi just hasn't bothered to update its catalog, at least for Q5s.

    Hi all,

I'm in the process of retrofitting the FL headlights to my Q and am looking for a source (or part no.) for the screws used to attach the components to the housings.

The part no. audi lists - N10708601, is incorrect. Those are used on A4s but the Q5 screws are thinner and threads farther apart. Picture below for reference. Thanks.

Once again, thanks spijun. Unfortunately none of those part nos. are correct. The part no. audi lists as the 'correct' screw (N10708601) looks like the following, and clearly wouldn't work in place of the originals.

Funny enough I ran into this exact problem when retrofitting FL headlights on my E90. BMW didn't list the correct part no. and after lots of headache I ended up finding the correct screws listed under a completely separate model.

I'm tempted to go to my dealer and pass the headache on to them. I've already asked one dealer's parts counter and they simply pulled up the incorrect part no. above. Didn't have any in stock.

According to P/N N10708601 in catalog looks this:

Right, that's exactly what my dealer pulled up. Doesn't seem like it would work in place of the original screws - threads seem too close.

I'm thinking the original screws were supplied by Valeo with the housings and almost never need replacing by dealers (they'll only swap non-working modules for new ones and reuse the screws). And there's no provision in the Audi catalog for replacements.

That looks like the screws that hold the ccv valve on an e46 with m52/54 '99-'03 or '04

On the right track. Those are K60 (6mm thread diameter, T25) and I believe these are something like K40x14 (T20). Will measure exactly when I get home tonight and maybe reach out to Valeo as well.

Quick update for anyone who might come across this.

I ordered what Audi lists as the correct screw, N10708601

Of course, it doesn't work. Photos below for comparison. Lighter screw is the one from audi, darker one is the correct one from the headlight housing. Still searching for a solution...
