    Exhaust System Comparisons - S3

    Greetings,

Does anyone have thoughts on comparative aftermarket exhaust systems for the 8V S3? I am looking at AWE vs. Miltek, from what I have found on YouTube I am not feeling the tone of the AWE. Any other brands users can recommend would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

In my opinion, you cannot really go wrong with any of the systems (AWE, Milltek, Billy Boat, Remus, etc.). They all sound relatively similar, so if I were you, I would go with the one that suits your wallet the best. They are all high quality exhausts with similar notes and tips. Now if you are going to go full turbo back, then that might be a different story.

    Note: I have a Milltek non-resonated non-valved system on my S3

AWE makes some really nice systems. I would recommend AWE over Milltek. Prefer the sound better and as well as build quality.

I second this, all the systems are good. Don't judge the sound by videos, the exhaust systems sound very different in person. I've also got the Milltek no resonated and non valved system and I love it. If you can listen to the exhaust in person before making a decision.

Still waiting on CTS as I love their MK7 GTI exhaust.
We run the CTS downpipe on our S3 right now coupled with the Remus catback

I am considering a cat-back exhaust as well...coming from a 20VT 5 cylinder...I miss the deep rumble of the I5 exhaust note. I disconnected the Soundaktor because that was annoying as F*%K....looking for a deeper toned exhaust...any thoughts....? Sound/video clips do nothing..they all sound the same!

Well if anyone was on the fence for AWE they literally just dropped the price even more on select S3 systems.

    Take a look

Just use the dropdowns onsite to see the new prices. Pretty nuts.

In running a Billy Boat aka B&B exhaust myself. All hand fabbed here in the US. Quality is second to none. Sound is deep and not raspy.

Just installed the B&B Turboback myself yesterday. The stock downpipe removal was an absolute war, but the end was result was totally worth it. Deep sound, nice shift surge effects, and the quality is without flaw.
