I wouldnt be that quick to judge. Its already been tested to be slower in direction change than the V1. Plus there are so many gimmicks on the Escorts. Just give me a detector that does one thing perfectly. I tried an Escort Max when it came out and the thing reset itself or went off all the time whenever the temp went under 30 degrees. Went back to my V1 instantly. Only other detector I would have tried is the Redline, otherwise, sticking with the V.
Totally different experience for me with the Max. It is whisper quiet to false threats, and when it warns you, you can bet it is real. My V1 became virtually useless due to false alarms and the programming is not very user friendly. It had its day, but has failed to keep up with modern tech.
