Recoding 01.5 Tiptronic Stage 2 ECU

I have a stage 2 ECU that I've had for about a year but haven't ran it because I was rather uninformed until lately, and for the fact and I wanted my engine broken in a bit after head gaskets. It is a home brew ECU from some guy in NC (I didnt buy it, got it for free basically. Cant turn down a stage 2 tune!) It spikes at 20psi and I am in LOVE with the extra power. Feels like a totally different car. However there's some issues I have, the ABS and EPC lights are always on with the tune in and it also occasionally does some weird shifts.

I want to use vagcom and get into the ECU to check that the engine code is correct but I don't have the tools for it and want to have it confirmed what I need to do this:

-Vagcom cable.. will this work? Theres so many to choose from but I've read to get one with a disc. http://www.ebay.com/itm/KKL-VAG-COM-...672568&vxp=mtr
-VCDS.. will the Lite version work for what I'm after or do I not even need it?
-Engine code(s).. It is an L-Box ECU according to the s4wiki, however I haven't found ANY info on what the correct engine code is and how to change it. Lots of A4 info but nothing for a Tip S4.

    Thanks!

That cable will work, that's what I have. The cd includes vcds lite, or you can download from Ross tech.

Hot sure what engine code you're talking about.
the B5 S4 is like the mafia... there is only one way out!

Okay thanks. And I've just heard from others to change the engine code because it could possibly be coded for a manual. The ESP and ABS lights are always on with the tune.
