    The process of replacing Instrument Cluster

    My LCD screen is fading out on my Cluster, i found a used instrument cluster on eBay for $45 with 88k miles on it coming off the same year and model as my car in perfect working condition.

    Am i required to visit the Stealer so they can adapt my new cluster or is that possible with the vagcom.

    my car has 127k miles on it.

    Doesn't have to be sone by the dealer, but you do have to get it cloned. There is a company that does this. I don't remember the name, but Mec had it done for his RS4 cluster.

    Beside the mileage cloning everything else can be done through wagcom, such as key fob programming if I'm not mistaken.!

    +1. They cloned my cluster the day it arrived and had it shipped out the day after. I'd suggest getting a color dis cluster if you are going through the hassle of cloning them. I found one for cheap on eBay.

    It was only $149 at speedosolutions back in August when I had my cluster cloned....

    Yeah you are right, i looked into something else, actually for $249 they include their own Colored cluster.
