Is Tie Rod Coverec Under Warranty?

I'm wondering if my right tie rod would be covered under warranty? My mechanic says is needs to be replaced . . . . I'm not sure exactly what he said about it since I'm pretty sick and in no mood to give a shit but I was just wondering.

Mine was covered under warranty. The dealer even found it on their own when doing an alignment on my car. I had no idea it was bad.

I have a third party aftermarket warranty, and they covered the P and L but I had to pay for the alignment.
