Hi ,I'm trying to find an issue with my car and while doing a leak test, I found that this hose can move at the vacuum pump.
    Is that normal?
    Thanks!!

Funny...I was wondering the same thing last week My car does the exact same thing.

I know about Fly's thread where he says just JB weld everything together, but in mine and the OPs case, the hose clamp is not near the vacuum pump enough to hit it and cause any noise.

For example, OP, turn your car on and you will see you will no longer have any play on that hose...The vacuum pump "sucks" it in and you can't push it in or pull it out then.

Even if the hose clamp is not hitting the vacuum pump when the car on, should we still JB weld everything in place?

Well I did it anyway (yesterday) because I'm chasing a trouble on my car and want to eliminate all the possible cause one by one. But I have not noticed any strange sound that came from there...
I would do it if I was you so the play won't get worse with time.

Did you use JB weld? Push in, apply jb weld, and hold for 1 minute to dry before letting go?

Do you notice any difference now (sound, performance, idle, etc)? Little skeptical

Well I didn't see any difference when starting the car this morning, I'm still having cold start issue (rough idle for 30 seconds and few misfires until engine get warm) Yes I used jb weld for steel. Do you have issue with your car?

Weird...Spark plugs? Coils? My guess...Check your gap if you replace both those things recently.

No issues...Just the play on the hose when car is off

If you are getting misfires, you must have a CEL. At least take some OBD codes, but preferably VCDS as that would show what's going on. You are assuming the issues all have to do with the lose hose. That is probably not the case.

Yeah it was probably not the cause of my problem but This part failed in my leak test so I thought fixing it could help.
I do have vcds and Almost everyhing has been done: new ngk cooper plugs, red coils are very recent, new pcv, carbon cleaned, coolant temperature sensor replaced (aftermarket) and now I'm about to check for fuel rail sensor, low pressure fuel sensor and injectors...in the meantime the intake manifold flap is dead so I presume this can my issue. A new one was ordered

A never had a car that gave me headaches like that! Still running perfectly fine once normal temp is reached. That is totally mysterious
