I'm debating pulling the trigger on a set of S6 downpipes from Milltek with High Flow Cats. I'm not interested in the gas smell that many members here have referenced coming from catless DPs, so the high flow cats seem like a good compromise. The downpipes make the S6/S7 exhaust really come alive from what I've heard in videos, but I'm just worried they will be a bit too loud even with valves closed.
However at over $3k for the pipes I am looking for some more feedback before purchasing. S4Per posted a great video recently showing his high flow cats+milltek exhaust, but the car was only revving in the garage so it was hard to gauge the true volume level while cruising/etc. So I'm wondering if anyone has any videos of these downpipes while cruising, with valves open/closed, etc., or can even comment on it? The pipes are more expensive than the catback exhaust itself so maybe some comments on the value of the upgrade?
On that note, is there actually a 'stage 2' file to utilize the higher flow DPs from APR? I am very happy with my APR tune and would like to stick with the company if possible rather than switching to REVO since they offer stage 2.
