    Tints yes or no?

    I got a 2016 A7 Tornado grey a little over a month ago with the 20'' rims package that almost is an exact match to the paint, Ive been going back and forth wether I should get tints and what kind. I was thinking ceramic 35% that has a grayish look to it. thoughts? Also if i tint the front window 70% will that mess with the heads up display? thanks!

    In a sunny environment, I consider tint more of a necessity than a cosmetic mod.

    It is not legal in any state to get front windshield done but everyone does it, I took off the silver rings and badge, bought the new rings from tag motorsports

    I was not referring to his windshield. It is illegal in NJ to tint the front door windows.

    Its illegal to drive over 55 on the highway too. All my windows are tinted and no front plate for me.

    So guys that tint their front windshield what do you do with your inspection stickers??? Here in pa I have two stickers bottom corner of my front drivers so I'm not sure I could do a light 50% tint to it bc of that reason.

    Had my Tornado Gray A6 done with Formula One Pinnacle 35% all around and AirBlue80 for the front windshield, no issues with HUD. I primarily tint my cars to keep out heat, however if you're doing just for looks something in the 20-30% range will probably look better. Just make sure to find a reputable shop to do it because even the most expensive tint in the wrong hands will still result in a poor tint job.

    If you have a light interior, go with 20%. If you have a dark interior/headliner, the 35% is nice.

    Had 3M Crystaline installed all around... 50% sides and rear, and 70% on the front. LOVE IT, and keeps the car so much cooler inside! Also still safe at night, and can see well out of the car.

    (not to mention, the protection benefits)
