RNS-E GPS Adapter

As stated, I need the RSNE GPS cable/adapter. I'm doing the retrofit, but the unit doesn't have the GPS cable.

Anyone have anything?

What kind of unit do you currently have in your car?

I have a symphony 2+ and have the RNS-E ready to go in. Both are from non-Bose vehicles.

This is the harness I have. I just need the GPS setup; whether it's the extension to the Avant shark fin, or the magnetic one, it really doesn't matter to me.

I just did the swap this week, I have the bose system though and all the harness were the same.

All I had to do was get the gps antenna on ebay and it was plug and play.. not sure if it's 100% the same for non bose setup.

If you didn't already realize it, you're going to have to run the cable from the driver side of the trunk up to your head unit unless you get one of the magnet ones and just keep it in the dash.

:-) yeah. I just wasn't sure you knew the antenna connection was located back there. I picked up my cable a few weeks ago from Enfig and haven't spent the time to put it in yet.

With an S2+ all you have to do is move the kline wire in your quadlock (Bose also if Bose)

Then order a female to female 5m fakra extension to connect your oem sharkfin, dont buy a cheap gps antenna it either wont work properly or will stop working properly after a year.

Highly recommend the Fakra extension cable! And Axis did the mod this week end with great results ( as always!)

No worries, oem gps connection of your shark fin will be in the driver side C pillar.

Weird, maybe its an avant vs sedan thing because Guig'z just did it in hi is 07 Sedan (Edit : just noticed he posted above you) and it was in the driver side.

I imagine the best way to do this is to remove the rear dome light, rear headliner section and make sure which way its going before removing any additionnal trims.

Consider yourself lucky lol, my 06 didnt have a freaking sharkfin, I have the B6 style antenna amplifier in the rear headliner...I had to drill my roof, install sharkfin and then run an extension to the RNS-E

Mine was passenger side Axis! The amplifier and radio antenna goes by the left side!
