Car won't unlock with remote, key won't turn in driver's door. HELP, Stuck at airport

Left my car at the airport for 3.5 days, came back just now and not sure if battery is dead or what.
It won't respond to the remote to unlock the car. No response from any of the buttons (lock, unlock, panic).

When I put the physical key in the slot on the driver's door, it doesn't even turn. So, taking a taxi home since even if I call AAA, I can't get into the car.

When I look at the dashboard, half the idiot lights are on (Brake, EPC, ABS, Air Bag, but not all).

Any suggestion on how to get into the car so I can jump start it?

physical key has to work even if battery dead as it should open lock manually, if not something completly f...., try other way around a bit more force left/right. No quick solution to get in without. I had key in car once, specialist came, somekind of plastic bag between "windowframe" and "carframe", pumped with air(door away from car frame a bit) with long hook, hooked inside door handel and it was open.

My manual key does not work either, i think its a case of not being used for the last 5 years. I have been suggested to use 5-56 or WD-40 and let it soak for a minute, then try some assertive force.

Went back to the airport this morning, tried the key again, it took a lot of effort, but it turned (put some lube in the lock when I got home and now at every oil change I will exercise the lock).

Got a jump start from AAA. From the time on the clock, the battery died after about 2 days. That is odd since I left it for 3 weeks at the airport in October.

edit: nevermind. it would most likely require it to work with your key.

Good stuff, it took some force to get mine to work as well. I can only guess that the lock has not been used since the car was purchased more or less.

Sounds like you're due for a new battery.
I've let my car sit for 2 months before, and it started up fine afterwards. When it came time to replace my battery, it died overnight (I drove it one day, and it was completely dead the next morning). It gave no warning at all.

Maybe keep an eye on the battery level in the MMI (i suppose you unlocked it too).
I suppose your door lock is fixed now and i suppose it was because of dead battery right?
*Just fixed my rear door lock (wouldn't unlock with fob). Cleaned the internal servo's and switches, all works perfect again :) (and saved me 200€ parts/work).

Yes, physical key can be removed from the FOB and used in the driver's door, maybe the trunk also.

I knew that the key could be removed, I just never noticed the key slot in the door.

It appears that the B8 trunk does not have a slot which my B5's had, my bad.

I have a key hole on the driver's door, but not on the trunk. I also could not find an emergency release for the trunk from the inside which kind of makes sense as an Avant I should be able to climb to the front

The emergency release for Sedan's is under the back seat, not sure if its same for avant

I know there is a manual latch inside the avant trunk door, you can access it by removing a small cover.

I saw the little plastic cover in the middle with the trunk icon on it, but couldn't figure out how to open the hatch once I got in there.

I know this was posted a while ago but I'm trying to figure out how to access the latch. Having a hard time lifting the seat.
