I am hooking up a dual gauge pod. One boost and one afr. Boost lighting I was told I could tap one of the three wires from the dimmer switch. The afr directions say specifically not to use a dimmer switch. If I want the functionality of night dim for the backlight I must locate a headlight wire that does not drop voltage like the dimmer switch. I'm assuming this is because it's an LED gauge.

For reference this is a 2003 rs6 and I just installed a brand new light switch as the old one was looking pretty worn.
