question about the secondary air injection pump on a tip to 6 swap...

I know there's a lot of material out there. I'm swapping a tip to a 6 speed during a stage 3 build. I'm having 034 code out the SAI of the car and physically removing the pump/plumbing throughout the car. Also blocking ports and all that good stuff...

There's nothing that really answers the question of emissions testing definitively. I live in illinois where they do smog testing. If they run for the secondary system and don't find a readiness flag, will I fail? the 6 speed version of this car doesn't have this system. so if I'm swapping the trans, it wouldn't fall under the same emissions testing TECHNICALLY. although the engine was built for a tip. I'd ask the state, but... it's the state.

As long as it's coded out and the readiness test is setup for the emmissions check, you'll be fine

Charging to code it out? They are just going to upload a file to the ecu for a manual car that never had sai in the first place, what is there to code out?
the B5 S4 is like the mafia... there is only one way out!
