AWE x-pipe and mid muffler with OEM rear exhaust

Picked up a used front half of AWE touring exhaust from AZ member and had it installed to replace the OEM resonator. Sounds very OEM (since it basically still is), no increase in volume at idle., zero drone. Should've sounded like this from the factory. Without a side-by-side comparison it may seem to subtle of a change to be worthwhile, but the rear mufflers can always be deleted for a Track setup equivalent.

I recently picked up the same piece with the same intent. Contemplated the x pipe mod others have done, but stumbled onto another one of these center mufflers. Figured it might be a nice middle ground. Looking to keep it near OEM quiet, but add a bit of "VR6"... Would love to have the full touring exhaust, but maybe this will do for now
Keep right pass left, it's the law!!

I think it will achieve exactly what you intended. To my ears, the AWE systems sounded the best, and this sounds just like it (not surprisingly) but at lesser volume. To be honest, the stock system doesn't sound bad, you just can't hear it from inside the car. Definitely wife approved as she can't tell the difference, so maybe that's too subtle a change for some.

wow, that is subtle, but you can definitely hear a little of that unique AWE tone now.

I did something similar with my system, custom DP and front muffler, x-pipe where the rear resonator was and OEM rear mufflers. No drone, great sound, and not too loud.
